Payroll Specialist

JOB TITLE – PAYROLL SPECILAIST

JOB TYPE – FULL TIME IN-PERSON 

North Park Lincoln is seeking an individual with high character and strong work ethic who is looking for a career in an exciting, fast-paced business. A great candidate would be one who is willing and able to work cross-departmentally to ensure our business runs as smoothly as possible. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Experience in a car dealership or related industry with knowledge of general accounting procedures is preferred.

Role and Responsibilities

• Process multi-cycle payrolls efficiently and accurately including garnishments, direct deposits, employee set up, and record keeping
• Prepare payroll reports and identify potential problems or errors
• Timely remittance of all payroll related tax liability
• Maintain employee information including status changes, wage adjustments, time and attendance management
• Prepare and file quarterly 941 reports and yearly W-2s  
• Keep up to date with federal and state regulations
• Other duties as assigned

Special Skills

• Proven leadership in managing complex payroll projects and processes
• Proficient skills using MS Excel
• Extremely detail-orientated and accurate
• Proven relationship building and conflict resolution skills
• Strong mathematical skills with ability to research, analyze, and correct time and payroll data

Position Requirements

• Minimum 3 years payroll experience with a large employer
• Required Microsoft Office Suite knowledge with an emphasis in Excel and Word
• Kronos experience preferred
