Automotive Glass Technician

Bluebonnet Collision Center — New Braunfels, TX

Bluebonnet Collision Center is looking for an experienced, motivated Automotive Glass Technician to join our growing collision repair operation.

This is a dedicated glass position. We are looking for someone who specializes in automotive glass installation and removal—not a Body Technician.

As we continue expanding our in-house glass operations, this technician will play an important role in building a high-quality, efficient glass department within our dealership collision center.

What You'll Do

  • Remove and install automotive windshields, back glass, quarter glass and door glass
  • Safely remove and install bonded automotive glass
  • Perform glass replacement according to OEM procedures
  • Remove and reinstall moldings, trim, clips and related components
  • Properly prepare pinchwelds and glass surfaces for installation
  • Apply automotive urethane and primers correctly
  • Inspect installations for proper fit, alignment and water leaks
  • Protect vehicles during glass removal and installation
  • Perform leak testing and quality-control inspections
  • Safely handle and transport automotive glass
  • Work closely with Body Technicians, Mechanical Technicians, Estimators and Management
  • Follow OEM repair procedures and manufacturer-specific requirements
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe glass work area
  • Properly document completed repairs
  • Follow all company safety and quality standards

ADAS & Modern Vehicles

Bluebonnet Collision Center is a modern dealership collision facility with in-house ADAS equipment.

The ideal candidate should understand that many modern vehicles may require ADAS calibration following windshield replacement.

You will be expected to:

  • Identify when ADAS may be affected by a glass replacement
  • Follow OEM procedures
  • Communicate calibration requirements to the appropriate team
  • Coordinate with our existing ADAS operation
  • Ensure the vehicle is properly documented before returning it to the customer

You will NOT be responsible for purchasing or providing your own ADAS equipment.

What We're Looking For

Required:

  • Previous professional automotive glass experience
  • Experience removing and installing windshields
  • Experience with urethane-bonded glass
  • Knowledge of proper glass preparation and installation procedures
  • Ability to safely handle automotive glass
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reliable attendance and work ethic
  • Ability to work independently

Preferred:

  • Dealership or collision-center experience
  • Experience with high-end and luxury vehicles
  • Experience with ADAS-equipped vehicles
  • Knowledge of OEM glass replacement procedures
  • Experience with multiple makes and models
  • I-CAR or manufacturer-specific training

What We Offer

  • Competitive pay based on experience
  • Stable dealership collision-center environment
  • Consistent work volume
  • Professional work environment
  • Modern equipment and tools
  • In-house ADAS capabilities
  • Opportunity to help build and grow our glass department
  • Career growth opportunities
  • Team-oriented workplace
  • Quality-focused operation

Why Bluebonnet Collision Center?

We're not looking for someone to simply replace windshields and move on to the next vehicle.

We're building a professional in-house glass operation designed around quality, efficiency and proper OEM repair procedures.

You'll have the opportunity to help establish the glass department, influence how the department operates and become an important part of a growing dealership collision center.

If you're an experienced Automotive Glass Technician who takes pride in doing the job correctly and wants to be part of a growing operation, we want to talk to you.
