New / Used Sales Porter - Flexibile part-time schedule - Automotive - North Park Lincoln Dominion

Flexible part-time schedule starting $15.00 / hour 

This porter position offers a fun, fast-paced experience.  Taking pride in attention to detail is important, so our inventory stands tall and is displayed in the best way possible.  Our sales department is a great team of individuals who rely on each other to create a wonderful experience for our guests.  

The purpose of the the Sales Porter position is to assist with vehicles in our inventory both new and preowned: the display, merchandising and logistics of them.

We can structure this job around many applicants' schedules for flexible part-time hours.  25-30 hours per week work desired, spread over five or six workdays (our stores are always closed on Sundays).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.  Other duties may be assigned.

  • Display inventory in spaces as directed by sales management, that maximize the attractiveness of each vehicle and also so the vehicles are ready to be efficiently presented to clients
  • The above responsibilities entail ensuring inventory is organized and orderly in how they are parked on our property. 
  • Being ready to be presented means executing management's process of checking periodically for fuel level, and that vehicles start when needed
  • Adding fuel (we have a company-owned fueling station close by) in preparation for presentations or deliveries to clients, as directed
  • Washing inventory vehicles as directed so the cleanliness and appearance of them is top-notch for prospective clients 
  • Driving vehicles to different locations as directed for various needs: to service, to another dealership if trading or for brand-specific service work
  • Driving vehicles to a client's house or work location for presentations or deliveries, in coordination with other sales team members
  • Help move vehicles in and out of the showroom as directed / our top showcase location for clients 
  • Helps perform physical inventory of vehicles monthly, as directed by sales management 

Requirements

All employees in our company who drive inventory vehicles as part of their job duties must take an online driver safety course before starting their duties / we will provide access and login credentials for this 

This position may require the member to occasionally drive a manual transmission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS (Including Driver's License)

Operator's Drivers License (must be insurable).  A clean driving record is important, and is part of our hiring process background check.
