Essential Responsibilities & Authority

Report for work at assigned time(s); break and leave at assigned time(s).

Repair assigned vehicles in accordance with Lexus’ guidelines.

  • Remove designated damaged parts; dispose of them properly.
  • Notify manager of any missing parts or additional damaged parts not listed on initial estimate.
  • Request supplements for additional parts or labor needed for insurance claims
  • Work productively.

Check completed work to ensure that it meets Lexus and WSL quality standards.

Work safely; comply with all safety rules.

  • Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
  • Use shop equipment and tools safely.
  • Wear required protective equipment: clothing, footwear, gloves, masks, safety glasses, etc.

Maintain and properly safeguard all shop tools and equipment and all personal tools.

Dispose of all wastes properly —particularly any special or hazardous wastes.

Report any accidents immediately.

Assist other associates as needed and/or directed by management.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Carries out responsibilities in accordance with WSL policies, Lexus operating standards, and applicable federal and state laws.

4. Is able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets for products used in processing.

6. Understand body shop productivity measurements.

Percent of Self-Development Tasks achieved.

Number of comebacks compared to vehicles repaired (Monthly and YTD).
Score on internal Quality Control Audits.
Number of accidents recorded on the OSHA 200 Log (Monthly and YTD).

Satisfaction of management and customers with repaired product (finish, paint, accessories, etc.).
Satisfaction of management and customers with repaired product delivery time.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); plus one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations*:
Has a valid driver’s license. Is legally able to work in the United States

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
