Parts Dispatcher

Our dealership is looking to hire an organized and efficient person to dispatch parts delivery drivers and help customers select the required parts needed for their cars in a friendly, professional, and efficient manner.

Job Description

The Parts Dispatcher plans, organizes, leads, and controls the flow of parts delivery drivers. The candidate must be professional with the ability to ensure that parts deliveries are timely and correct. The Parts Dispatcher will also ensure that overall operations within the delivery staging area are smooth and efficient.  Review delivery status of parts frequently, logging current status and reporting any change in time or cost estimates to the appropriate individual. This individual must be able multitask and take instructions from our previous dispatcher and sales staff. 

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assists and dispatches delivery drivers and ensures accuracy of orders and parts to be delivered.
• Pulls orders for delivery drivers, making sure all parts are tagged with customer name and job information.
• Sets up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up.
• Follows up on back-ordered parts.
• Notifies the parts salesperson when special ordered parts have been received.
• Verifies will-call and order files weekly as well as returns to vendors.

Experience

• Previous automotive or parts experience is highly preferred.
• Must have the ability to manage processes and analyze information.
• Must have strong communication skills with good product knowledge and the ability to multi-task while maintaining organization and cleanliness.
