North Park Lincoln is seeking an individual with high character and strong work ethic who is looking for a career in an exciting, fast-paced business to perform a variety of general accounting, account reconciliations, detailed postings and clerical support tasks in the accounting department, while learning the specialized duties of the accounting staff in a dealership. A great candidate would be one who is willing and able to work cross-departmentally to ensure our business runs as smooth as possible.
Experience in a car dealership or related industry with knowledge of general accounting procedures is preferred.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:
General Ledger Reconciliation – schedule reconciliation (i.e. rebate, prepaids, and inventory schedules)
Daily bank transaction posting
Reconcile vehicle inventory tax (monthly)
Handle corporate credit card accounts - posting, reconciliation and payments
Reconcile Ford floorplan statement (monthly)
Reconcile, post and follow-up on reserve and insurance statements and schedules
Train to and back-up billing of vehicle deals, wholesales and dealer trades, title work, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (as time permits to facilitate processing)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Accounting or related discipline
- Strong computer and internet skills, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong accounting skills and knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong data and entry management skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
