Job Purpose:  Responsible for assisting the Service Manager in the effective operation of the service center to include; sales, productivity and profitability, and is responsible for ensuring that the service center operates under safe conditions according to established policies and procedures and in compliance with federal and state regulations. To ensure that the automotive service manager puts together a team of high performance individuals who can follow the procedures and processes of the company.

 

Job Duties:

Assist Service Manager:

  • in the effective daily operation of the service department
  • in ensuring the satisfactory application of customer service standards and customer satisfaction programs.
  • to ensure availability of qualified and motivated service employees to achieve service sales, customer service and profit objectives
  • in ensuring satisfactory maintenance, appearance and condition of assigned facilities to comply with security, safety, and environmental codes and ordinances
  • in ensuring strict compliance with the service Code of Ethics and all municipal, state, and federal regulations and procedures pertaining to the operation of the service center.
  • to ensure professional, timely communication to all customers
  • in maintaining the overall appearance of the shop, customer waiting areas and all bays
  • Perform any other functions as required by the Service Manager

  • A comprehensive understanding of the automotive service and the industry Ability to identify the problem quickly.

  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications.
  • Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least a high school diploma/GED
  • Technical degree preferred
  • Two-three ASE certifications preferred
  • Minimum of two years supervisory experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years in service department
  • Enjoy working in a fact paced environment
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Able to work on your feet for extended periods of time
  • All applicants must be able to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, drug test, credit report, and valid driver license.
  • Basic Computer skills
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality
